1. Information we collect via SMS

When you sign up for our SMS messages, we may collect:

• Your mobile phone number.

We collect this information directly from you when you opt in via online forms, scheduling systems, intake forms, keyword text opt-ins, or other sign-up methods you use to request SMS communications.

• Send you appointment reminders, schedule updates, and important service notifications.

• This does not include promotions, discounts, or product/service advertising as that information is sent via email exclusively.

To deliver and manage our SMS messages, we use a third-party communications provider, Intermedia Elevate UC.

• This provider acts as our service provider or processor and handles message routing, delivery, and related technical functions on our behalf.

• They may process limited personal information (such as your mobile number and message metadata) solely for the purpose of providing SMS services to us and are contractually required to protect your information and use it only as directed by Nature Inspired Therapies.

We do not authorize Intermedia, or any other provider to use your information for their own marketing purposes.

We may share your SMS-related information:

• With trusted service providers (including Intermedia Elevate, and other technology vendors) that process data on our behalf to deliver and manage text messages.

• When required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others.

We do not share your SMS information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to help protect SMS-related personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because SMS is not an encrypted communication channel, you should avoid sending highly sensitive information (such as detailed health history or financial information) by text message.

We retain SMS-related information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide the messaging services you requested.

• Maintain records consistent with our business needs and professional requirements.

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with our data retention practices and any requirements applicable to our service providers.

You can control your SMS participation at any time:​

• To stop receiving SMS messages from us, reply STOP to any message we send. After you send STOP, we may send a confirmation message to verify your request, and then you will no longer receive SMS messages from that specific program or number.

• For help regarding our SMS program, reply HELP to any message or contact us using the details below in section 11.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 11.

Message frequency will vary based on your relationship with us (for example, appointment reminders, updates about services, or occasional wellness-related messages). Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, and neither we nor Intermedia Elevate UC nor any of our third-party vendors are responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.

In compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), our services and SMS program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information via SMS from children under 13.

We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Your continued participation in our SMS program after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. Additionally the version number will be increased with each update for continuity purposes.
