SMS Terms and Conditions –

Nature Inspired Therapies

Welcome to Nature Inspired Therapies SMS program. These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) describe how Nature Inspired Therapies (“Nature Inspired Therapies,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides text messaging (SMS/MMS) services and the terms that apply when you enroll in and receive messages from us.

By opting in to receive SMS messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms, our general Terms & Conditions available at www.natureinspiredtherapies.com/terms-conditions, and our Privacy Policy www.natureinspiredtherapies.com/privacy-policy.​

1. Program description

Our SMS program may include:

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notifications, and cancellations.

  • Wellness-related information, practice updates, or service announcements.

  • Administrative messages related to your relationship with Nature Inspired Therapies (for example, office closures or policy updates).

We do not use SMS as a substitute for emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

2. SMS delivery and service provider

Our SMS messages are delivered using the Intermedia Elevate UC platform, as well as any other SMS or telecommunications provider we may use from time to time.

  • These provider facilitate the technical transmission of messages between our systems and your mobile carrier.

  • While they may handle message content and related metadata as part of providing these services, they do so as our service provider and in accordance with applicable agreements and privacy and security obligations.

Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.​

3. Opt-in and consent

  • By providing your mobile phone number and requesting SMS messages (for example, through our website forms, online scheduling, intake documents, or in-person), you:

  • Represent that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided.

  • Consent to receive SMS and/or MMS messages from Nature Inspired Therapies at that number, including messages sent using automated technology where permitted by law.

  • Acknowledge that your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving services from us (unless specifically required for a particular program clearly explained at the time of enrollment).​

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your contact details remain accurate and up to date.

4. How to opt out

  • You may cancel SMS messages from us at any time:​

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message we send from our program number.

  • After you send STOP, we may send a one-time confirmation message. After this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that program or number.

  • If you have enrolled in more than one SMS program or use multiple numbers with us, you may need to opt out separately for each program or number.

  • You can also request removal by contacting us directly using the information in Sections 5 and 14.

  • The number of appointments you schedule or modify.

  • Whether you have chosen to receive non-appointment updates or wellness messages.

We strive to send only messages relevant to your relationship with Nature Inspired Therapies.

7. Carrier and message charges

Nature Inspired Therapies does not charge a specific fee for sending or receiving SMS messages, and neither will Intermedia Elevate UC charge you directly for our texts. However:​

  • Standard message and data rates may be charged by your mobile carrier.

  • Charges will appear on your mobile phone bill or be deducted from your prepaid balance.

You are responsible for any such charges. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your mobile carrier.

8. Supported carriers

Our SMS program is intended to work with major U.S. carriers and many smaller regional carriers. Availability may vary by carrier and location, and we do not guarantee that any or all carriers will support our messages at all times.

9. No medical or crisis advice by SMS

SMS messages from Nature Inspired Therapies are informational and administrative in nature and are not intended as a substitute for professional medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Do not use SMS to report emergencies or urgent issues.

  • In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Any therapeutic or wellness information provided via SMS is general in nature and should be discussed directly with your provider as needed.

Information collected in connection with our SMS program is handled in accordance with our SMS Privacy Policy and our general Privacy Policy. For details about how we collect, use, and protect your information, please review:​

Because SMS is not an encrypted channel, you should not share highly sensitive information by text message.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SMS services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and network provider and may be limited or delayed by factors beyond our control, including those affecting Intermedia Elevate UC, and other telecommunications providers.​

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered and are not responsible for delays or failures in message delivery.

  • We are not liable for any damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, our SMS program, including but not limited to service interruptions, delays, or errors.

Nothing in these SMS Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable rights available to you under applicable law.

12. Eligibility and your responsibilities

To participate in our SMS program, you must:

  • Be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction or have appropriate parental/guardian consent.

  • Provide accurate enrollment information and notify us of changes to your mobile number.

  • Use the SMS program only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these SMS Terms.

If you change or deactivate your mobile number, you should promptly update your information with us to avoid messages being sent to the wrong person.

13. Changes to these SMS Terms

We may modify these SMS Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of our SMS program after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised SMS Terms.
